Dating from the late Victorian/early Edwardian era an opal and diamond set brooch centrally set with an oval cabochon cut opal measuring approx. 13.80mm x 7.30mm in a raised yellow claw setting. A surround of 18 rose cut diamonds, measuring 2.00mm diameter, on a knife-edge bar. At each end of the bar an old cut diamond measuring 3.0mm diameter in cut-away style claw settings. Testing as approx. 15ct gold with part silver settings. Opal and diamond set centre measures approx. 0.75 inch x 050 inch. Total length of brooch 1.50 inches. Gross item weight 5.85gms. Fitted with safety chain.
